Event Details

A disruptive event is any event that causes stress, trauma, or overall negative psychological response. Examples of disruptive events include the death of a co-worker; a bank robbery; or even the results of a political election! For employees, a disruptive event can impair their ability to remain focused on workplace duties. This training focuses on helping employees understand common mental and emotional responses to disruptive events and on identifying the strengths and skills they possess that will enable them to cope with these experiences successfully.
Presenter Katie Smith is the Coordinator of Harbor Employee Assistance Program and is licensed in the state of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor and as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant.
Snacks will be served.
